PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
Dear Community,
We made it! That is Term 3 complete and what a big term it was.
Monday this week we held our Slime Run/Slide Day and what a day it was. I absolutely loved getting out there with our kids, hitting the inflatables and taking a tumble on our giant slide. Thank you to all those who supported students in the fundraising, not only was the day enjoyable but it raised a significant amount of money that will allow our school to proceed with some exciting projects. One of our Preppies - Oscar was the highest fundraiser on the day and given the job of getting as much slime on me as possible! I have to admit afterwards, I was well and truly looking forward to getting clean.
Congratulations to Harper Geritz who has gained selection in both the Sunshine Coast Regional Girls under 12 Rugby League Team and the Sunshine Coast Regional Athletics Team. Harper is going to be an extremely busy girl attending the State Championships for both. We are extremely proud of her and wish her all the best for the competitions.
Recently our selected students attended the Glasshouse House Athletics District Trials and had great success.
Theon- finished 4th in Discus, Ariel- finished 3rd in Discus, Harper- finished 2nd in shot put, Kaelan- finished 4th in the 200m, Alexia strong finish in the 1500m and Lincoln was close to a place in the long jump. It's so nice seeing our Mooloolah kids achieving success at district level. I also had the pleasure along with Mr Gilmore to take our Year 5 and 6 Mixed Rugby League Teams to compete in the Billy Moore Cup. Our students were highly competitive and showed great behaviour and sportsmanship throughout the entire day. A huge thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time to transport our students to their various sporting events this term.
If you have a child who is due to start Prep next year and have not yet registered your interest with the school, I encourage you to do so. Our Pre-Prep Program has started with more to come in Term 4 and positions are filling fast. Please call Andrea at our front office to register your interest or better still, drop in and ask for an enrolment pack.
This week, our year 5’s left for camp and they were full of excitement. We are so lucky on the coast to have so many great camps handy and to be able to offer our kids the opportunity to try something different, extend themselves and to learn and grow. Fingers crossed the weather remains great for them.
Lately over the weekend we have had some visitors in our school grounds climbing onto roofs, breaking into classrooms, vandalising walls. Over the Holidays can I ask all parents to just monitor our school over the school holidays and report to School Watch on 13 17 88 if you see anything suspicious.
With holidays coming up please stay safe on our roads, look after yourselves, relax, unwind and enjoy time with our lovely children.
I can’t wait to see everyone back at school Monday 30 September, ready for adventure, fun and learning.
Take care stay well, and safe.

HEAD OF CURRICULUM REPORT
Last week, some of our Year 5 and 6 students attended the Kids in Action Conference, and Kids in Action Environmental Projects Day. It was through this Sunshine Coast Council project that the idea for our Indigenous outdoor space was developed. Over the two days, our students listened to other schools talk about projects they had implemented in their schools, shared information about our school and our rainforest, and connected with nature and Indigenous culture. We met some amazing mentors and learned so much.
Term 4 sees us move into swimming lessons as part of our Health and Physical Education curriculum. Each student should have received a note with information on swimming times and costs, which we require signed and returned before your student is able to participate in the lessons. If you need an additional copy of the note, please let the office staff know.
Thank you to all of our community support for our Colour Splatacular Fundraiser. So far, we have raised over $13,000 towards our Indigenous Outdoor Space. The prizes will be delivered early next term, and the highest fundraisers will be announced after the fundraising closes on Friday.
PREP ENROLMENTS
We are now seeking Prep enrolments for 2025. Enrolment packs can be collected from the office, and you can book a school tour through the following link:

Finally, a date claimer for Term 4 for our Year 6 cohort. Our Year 6 Graduation Luncheon will be held on Monday 9th December, followed by the 3pm traditional clap out. More information and formal invitations will go out early next term. Any Year 6 parents who would like to be part of an organising committee for the luncheon, please contact us and we will be in contact soon.
I hope you and your families have a safe and enjoyable school holidays and we look forward to seeing you all again in Term 4.

BUSINESS MANAGER REPORT
Early this term our school signed up to the Health and Wellbeing Queensland Pick of the Crop Program. This program promotes healthy life choices along with a curriculum-based program which will be implemented into our students learning next year. We have received a grant to install a kitchen garden along with a mini orchard on the school grounds. Next term you will see some work underway to commence installation which we are very excited about.
Thankyou to the Mooloolah Valley Community Association for your generous support towards our Chaplaincy program and Families. This year our Year 6 students received $200 each towards the school camp held at Tallebudgera Beach School, which has been an annual camp venue for quite a few years now; offering a wide range of activities in a spectacular setting. This is the second year running families have received such support.
Thankyou to the Mooloolah Mason Lodge who annually donate funds to the Year 6 cohort for classroom resources. This year Mr Gilmour and the class decided on a portable bluetooth speaker, which will be shared between the 3 classrooms.
P&C
Welcome to the end of term 3!
Tuckshop will recommence in week 2 of term 4, with more weekly specials. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates.
As a P&C we are pleased to be able to support Harper Geritz with a $200 as she heads off to the School Sports State Athletic Championships for shot put in early October. Good luck Harper!
Exciting events to watch out for in Term 4:
- Halloween Disco. Keep an eye out for further details!

Our next P&C meeting will be held on Wednesday 16th October, 6pm in the Admin building. Hope to see some new faces there!
